Doc.ai: Your Personal Robo-doctor

Interview with Walter De Brouwer, Co-Founder and CEO of Doc.ai

What challenge is Doc.ai addressing?

At doc.ai we believe that consumers need to be empowered to take care of their own medical profiles. These profiles are bound to be constructed bottom up rather than top down and quantitative rather than qualitative. Doc.ai is planning to develop the NEURON Network, a blockchain-enabled, AI-powered, decentralized medical infrastructure that is completely data-centric, and provides algorithmic models. Our community will be built by participants who want to do a deep data trial, or who are collecting the data for family members and loved ones who are no longer able to do it themselves. In this massive distributive system participants can unite and collaborate with others, with groups, with academia and with organizations and corporations.

What is the scale of this challenge?

Patients as consumers, making more informed healthcare choices is likely a trillion dollar business in the next 3 years.

How does Doc.ai turn this challenge into an opportunity?

Our community will be built by participants who want to do a deep data trial, or who are collecting the data for family members and loved ones who are no longer able to do it themselves. In this massive distributive system participants can unite and collaborate with others, with groups, with academia and with organizations and corporations. The Neuron Network is expected to evolve in 3 phases over 18 months.

Data Collection (the system will guide users to collect their full biological profiles, ready for AI)
Data Model (users will be able to connect this profile with a AI researchers and data scientist to model their condition individually or in a group)
Data transactions (users will be able to deploy a biowallet, so that their information (stored on their devices) can be sold in the network

Data transactions (users will be able to deploy a biowallet, so that their information (stored on their devices) can be sold in the network

Can you showcase some team members/advisors which have a strong background?

Management team: Walter De Brouwer (entrepreneur for over 25 years and has done 2 IPOs), Anthea Chung (ex PWC), Marina Titova (ex Morgan Stanley), Alan Greene (formerly Professor of Medicine at Stanford)

Crypto advisors: Joey Krug (Augur), Jonathan Smith (Civic), Brad Mills (AlphaBit), Diego Gutierrez Zaldivar (RSK)

Crypto team led by Mason Borda (ex BitGo)

AI team: our chief scientist is Jeremy Howard (formerly Kaggle, Enlitic), our scientific advisor is Udi Manber (formerly head of search at Google)

Does Doc.ai have any strategic partnerships?

Yes, with Deloitte who is offering our products to its healthcare customers

Does Doc.ai have a viable product at this time?

Two of the products of the suite are currently in beta

What is the status or this product? (Alpha Beta or production)
Beta

How many users are actively using this product?
So far our products have been internally tested at Deloitte with approximately 100 employees

How much will the Robo medical advisors application cost?

We believe that a silicon advisor should cost $1/month for unlimited visits but it may asymptotically go down to $1/year, which is a disruption in price.

In what currency can the users pay for these services?

Token of the ecosystem – NeuRon (NRN)

How will users be able to add their medical report data which will be a hard copy or electronic copy?

If there is a portal for electronic data, the AI will need their login and password, and will be able to securely log in to user profile and gather the data. For hard copies, the AI will be able to “read” and interpret it.

Will the application suggest both dietary changes and medicine to address certain problems?

Yes, both dietary and behavior changes are on the program and the AI will be able to advise on them.

What if some of the medicines needed are not over the counter medicines?

The AI will refer you to the carbon-based colleague (your human doctor)

What is the structure of the ICO?

Total of approximately $30m is sold in the ICO across early advisors sale, pre-sale and crowdsale. Pre-sale is currently ongoing for orders over $50,000 at a discount of 10%. Crowdsale is expected to start on September 28. Total valuation of the network at ICO price is $86million.

What are the requirements to participate in the ICO?

All investors need to go through a registration process. US investors need to be accredited in order to participate. For the crowdsale, the use of the Civic app will be mandatory.

What are the pros and cons for the token holders?

We believe that our project has a great potential for humanity, in addition, to be a great investment. Due to chosen regulatory strategy, we are not issuing tokens until the network goes live which is expected in spring 2018, which unfortunately means there is no immediate liquidity for token holders.

Was there a pre-ico?

Yes, we have conducted an early advisors sale that was led by Pantera Capital and Anthony Di Lorio. Press release

What is the price of the pre-ico and the price of the ico?

The early advisors sale was done at a 25% discount to the crowdsale price. The pre-sale which is now ongoing is at 10% discount to the crowdsale price.

How many tokens will be issued?

Total of 860,000,000 tokens will be issued, of which 318,200,000 (37%) are expected to be sold in the token sale.

Is there a cap on the ICO?

Yes, approximately $30million (318,200,000 tokens).

In which jurisdiction is the project incorporated?

Doc.ai is incorporated in the USA.

Will the project be audited and will the audit reports be fully published?

The security audit has already been published at https://tokensale.doc.ai/securityaudit
